At Oumie’s Homemade Rusks, we take care to ensure that your order is freshly baked, securely packed and delivered to you as conveniently as possible.
1. Local Delivery
We offer local delivery within a 10 km radius of Douglasdale.
Delivery arrangements will be confirmed when your order is placed.
Please ensure that the delivery address and contact number provided are correct so that we can arrange a successful delivery.
2. Courier Delivery
For customers outside our local delivery area, we offer courier delivery through PUDO / Courier Guy.
Courier Fee: R100
The R100 courier fee applies to parcels weighing up to 6 kg.
If your order exceeds 6 kg, additional courier charges may apply. We will confirm the applicable delivery fee before dispatch.
3. Gauteng Markets
Oumie’s Homemade Rusks mainly attends markets and sells across the Gauteng area.
Customers may also have the option of collecting or purchasing products at selected markets, subject to availability and market schedules.
4. Order Processing
Our rusks are baked daily. Orders will be prepared and packed according to product availability.
Because our products are homemade and freshly baked, please allow reasonable time for your order to be prepared before delivery or collection.
5. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address, including:
- Full name
- Street address
- Suburb
- City
- Postal code
- Contact number
Incorrect or incomplete delivery information may result in delivery delays or additional charges.
6. Courier Delays
Once an order has been handed over to the courier, delivery times are subject to the courier company’s schedules and terms.
Oumie’s Homemade Rusks cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including:
- Courier delays
- Incorrect delivery information
- Weather conditions
- Traffic or road closures
- Public holidays
- Unforeseen operational issues
We will, however, assist customers in contacting the courier where necessary.
7. Damaged Parcels
If your parcel arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and provide photographs of the packaging and affected products.
We will investigate the matter and determine the appropriate solution.

8. Collection
If you have arranged to collect your order, we will confirm the collection details with you.
Please do not arrive for collection until your order has been confirmed as ready.
9. Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are separate from the price of the rusks unless otherwise stated.
Local delivery: Within 10 km of Douglasdale – fee confirmed when ordering.
Courier delivery: R100 for parcels up to 6 kg.
